Steve Miller Band members play at Deer Fest

| October 10, 2012 7:30 PM

Deer Fest is back.

The annual concert, featuring Hang Dynasty, takes place from 7 p.m. to midnight Saturday at the Fortine Fire Department firehouse, 11889 U.S. 93.

Tickets to “Deer Fest 2012: A Blessing of the Hunt” are $15 for adults or $10 for youths ages 13 to 18. Children under 12 get in for free.

Snacks and beverages are included in the ticket price. The event also includes a bonfire, free parking and a no-host bar.

In addition to the music, expect fireworks, American Indian traditions and mountain men demonstrations. Bring chairs and blankets.

A portion of proceeds go to the Fortine Fire Department and local food pantry.

Hang Dynasty is made up of Kenny Lee Lewis on guitar and Billy Peterson on bass (both of Steve Miller Band fame), and local favorites Terry Brick and Craig Barton on drums and keyboards, respectively.
