Man upset about short neighbor driving by

Sunday afternoon, a First Avenue West man asked Kalispell Police about getting a temporary restraining order against a “vertically challenged” neighbor who drives by his house.

Earlier on Sunday, officers were in pursuit of a reckless driver in a sports car going the wrong way on Sixth Street West.

A caller complained to police that people trying get a truck out of a ditch on Airport Road were kicking up dust and making lots of noise.

No one involved in a fight on U.S. 93 wanted to pursue charges. One man reportedly was sprayed with pepper spray.

Saturday night, a woman reported three race-car drivers pushing and grabbing each other at a race-car banquet on U.S. 93.

An elderly woman on First Avenue West told police the man who lives above her was trying to get into her apartment. She said the man was making a noise, “an alto tone like a horn,” and does this often. He was counseled and advised to quiet down.

An Ashley Drive man told police his credit card was stolen and extra charges have been made to it.

Earlier Saturday evening, a man told police that teenagers stole two iPods out of a truck on East Idaho Street. A man was arrested for carrying a concealed weapon.

A man seen slumped over in a blue truck on Airport Road was drunk. He was taken home, his keys held at the station.

A woman was arrested for allegedly stealing candy and magazines from a store on First Avenue East North.

Some girls were cited for unauthorized use of a vehicle.

A woman was frightened by two men looking at her from a vehicle with a busted windshield.

A driver stopped at Third Avenue West and West Center Street was arrested on habitual offender charges.

Windows were broken out of a home on Airport Road.

Someone wanted to file a report in regard to threats made at a store in Hutton Ranch Plaza.

Someone wanted to report an assault that occurred in June 2011.

Saturday, a Fifth Street West woman told Columbia Falls Police her boyfriend got a threat that their house was going to get robbed, and that they would be back at the house shortly.

While on the phone with police dispatch, the boyfriend refused to answer questions and told dispatch “to just do your job” and “get the cops there.” Police arrived to find the call unfounded and advised the boyfriend of an outstanding warrant.

Saturday morning, someone reported a white car with a loose wheel driving on the shoulder of U.S. 93. Whitefish Police could not locate the vehicle.

Officers asked a transient sleeping in a vacant lot on Central Avenue to move along.

A woman with a film crew working in town told police her laptop was stolen from a locked vehicle parked at the lodge.

A man told police he bought some stolen wheels.

Early Sunday morning, a “very sloppy looking man” reportedly broke several windows on East Second Street, walked off and then returned and was walking into walls. Police apprehended the man, who bonded out.

A caller on U.S. 93 reported a man for stealing beer.

Lake County Sheriff’s Office deputies arrested someone for possession of dangerous drugs at the county’s detention center Saturday.
