Marcie Jane Weaver, 82

Marcie Jane Weaver, 82, of Columbia Falls, passed away peacefully Oct. 3, 2012, at Kalispell Regional Medical Center, with family by her side.

Marcie was born Feb. 23, 1930, in Choteau to Al and Marie Ritter. She was one of five children. As a child, Marcie loved to work with her dad at his lumber yard in Fort Benton. Marcie liked to fish and work in her yard. She attended schools and graduated from Fort Benton High School in 1949.  

Marcie moved to Marysville, Wash., in 1965, where she was employed by Bethany Home in Everett, Wash., as a certified nursing assistant, before retiring in 1995.

She was a member of the Afton Chapter of the Eastern Star and a member of Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Marysville.

In 2008, Marcie moved to Columbia Falls where she lived with her sister.  She loved watching CNN with her beloved dog Shotsie by her side. She liked going to yard sales and searching for “treasures.”   

Marcie is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Linda and Estle Alcorn, of Woodlake, Calif.; her son, Barry Weaver, of Remsen, Iowa; and her sister, Rhoda Ann Haverfield, of Columbia Falls. She is also survived by five grandchildren, Kerri Sweeney of Visalia, Calif., Jason Alcorn of Woodlake, Jessica Weaver of Remsen, and Samantha Woodbeck and Robyn Majestic, both of Hawaii; along with her six great-grandchildren. She is also survived by niece and nephew-in-law, Arleea and Jim Livingston, of Columbia Falls; nephew, Keith Haverfield, of Columbia Falls; nephew and niece-in-law, Gary and Terri Haverfield of Dillon, and many other nieces and nephews.

Marcie was preceded in death by her parents, Al and Marie; her sister, Dorothy Nelson; and her brothers, Dean and Loren Ritter.

Marcie will be missed by her friends and family.

Marcie’s life will be celebrated at 1 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 19, at Solie Funeral Home in Everett. Interment will follow in the Marysville Cemetery.
