Still time to enter Members Salon

The deadline has been extended for those interested in participating in the Hockaday Museum of Art’s annual Members Salon.

Memberships must be current by Saturday.

One piece of artwork, in any media, will be accepted per member. Diptychs, triptychs, etc. are discouraged and will be accepted only at the director’s discretion. Paintings should be framed and ready to hang.

Two-dimensional works, delivered without a wire or hanging apparatus, will be rejected and returned to the artist. There is a size limitation of 30 by 40 inches.

The exhibition will be hung salon-style, and all artwork should be recent, original and created in the past 12 months.

The participation fee is $20. Upon the sale of the artwork, commission will be paid 60 percent to the artist, 40 percent to the Hockaday. Artwork does not have to be for sale.

The exhibit includes opportunities for prize money. People’s Choice Awards are as follows:

• First place — $250m plus a $25 gift certificate from Evergreen Art Center

• Second place — $100

• Third place — $50
