Flathead, Glacier combine for orchestra concert

The Flathead and Glacier High School orchestras will present their annual Autumn Concert  on Tuesday, Oct. 30, at 7:30 p.m. in the Flathead High School auditorium.  The concert will feature all four of the high school orchestras.

Tuesday’s concert will feature a variety of pieces from “Danny Boy,” to Bach and Mozart. The Glacier Chamber Orchestra will perform “Heartwounds” by Grieg, and the piece commissioned for the opening of Glacier High School, “Dance of the Great Bear” by Janet Haarvig.

 The Flathead High School Chamber Orchestra will be performing the beautiful “Arioso” by Bach and the exciting Mozart Symphony in G Minor. O  

The concert is under the direction of Sherry Simmons and is free and open to the public.
