No shortage of spooky Halloween events

Fritz Corn Maze

 Featuring a corn maze, scavenger hunt, cow train, bale maze, slides, and more. Open 3 to 6 p.m. Friday and 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday and Sunday. U.S. 2 and Birch Grove Road (one mile south of Glacier Park International Airport). $5 for ages 5 and older, 4 and younger free. Call 755-4210.

Sweet Pickin’s Pumpkin Patch 

Featuring a pumpkin patch, petting zoo, pumpkin pillow and more. Open 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. weekdays through Halloween, and 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday. The patch is located at 512 Kingfisher Lane, Kalispell. $7 per person. Call 752- 2359.

FRIDAY

 5-9 p.m. — Zone Family Fun Center Haunted Zone; $5 per person. Children’s Enchanted Forest for little ones; free admission with game card or attraction purchase.

6-8:30 p.m. — Say Boo to Drugs ice skating and Halloween party, Woodland Park Ice Center, Kalispell. Part of Red Ribbon Week; free admission with ribbon. $3 skate rental. Costumes encouraged. DJ, bonfire, s’mores, games, food, prizes, more.

7 p.m. — FVCC Theatre presents “The Rocky Horror Show,” Flathead Valley Community College Theatre inside the Arts and Technology Building. Mature audiences only. Tickets $15 for adults, $10 for students and seniors. Call 756-3814.

1-3 p.m. — Bat Day, Lone Pine State Park, Kalispell. Bat crafts, games, kids’ costume contest 1:45 p.m. — night creature costumes encouraged. Prizes. Angela Daenzer gives an interactive presentation on bats at 2 p.m.

1-5 p.m. — The Great Pumpkin Carnival, in The Gym, 305 E. Evergreen Drive, Kalispell. Pumpkin-baking contest sponsored by Coats for Kids, carved pumpkin contest, pumpkin patch, games, more.

6 p.m. — Halloween party, Olney Fire Department, 7 Olney Loop Road. Costume contest, prizes, games, treats, cake walk, more. For all ages. Call 881-2220.

 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. — Polson businesses invite trick or treaters to stop by. Look for an orange pumpkin on the business door or window.

4-5:30 p.m. — Whitefish High School theater students collect food donations for the Trick or Treat so Kids Can Eat program, Whitefish High. Bring canned and dry good for North Valley Food Bank. Call Kelliann Blackburn, 862-8622 ext. 444.
