Songs from 'Kiss Me Kate' performed

The trio of Tonga King, Sofia Huntington and Jerry Murphy will be singing songs from “Kiss Me Kate” at Clementine’s in Bigfork on Saturday at 7 p.m. 

King is a graduate of the University of Montana and studied opera performance vocal pedagogy at the New England Conservatory of Music. She earned a master’s degree in education at the Harvard Graduate School of Education and currently teaches singing lessons.

 Huntington, of Bigfork, has been singing opera professionally for the last 10 years as a soprano. She was a member of the company of Opera in the Heights in Houston, Texas for five seasons.  She has trained extensively in Houston, New York City and Spoleto, Italy.  

Murphy trained under John Lester at the University of Montana, Thaxter Cunio at the MacPhail center for Music in Minneapolis and with King in Bigfork.
