Wednesday a big day for brother-in-law mischief

The Flathead County Sheriff’s Office received two reports of crazy brothers-in-law on Wednesday.

A woman reported her brother-in-law after she had to use pepper spray to get him off the hood of her van while she was trying to leave a parking lot on West Evergreen Drive. A witness asked if she was okay and she said yes, that it had just been her “[expletive] crazy brother-in-law.”

A U.S. 2 East resident in Martin City reported her brother-in-law was trying to break into her home and had already smashed one of the doors.

By the time officers arrived, he was on the back porch under a blanket trying to sleep. The woman did not wish to pursue any charges but asked that her brother-in-law sleep somewhere else. He was transported to a nearby hotel.

An irate and armed Eagle Drive resident said she heard dogs barking and would shoot them. She was advised not to shoot the dogs.

A suddenly and undesirably famous Armory Road resident in Whitefish reported that someone posted her cell phone number on a website.

Officers were summoned to help remove a drunk man who refused to leave a gas station on U.S. 2 East in Kalispell. The man previously had been banned from all of the business’ locations.

Someone was reported shining a green laser pointer into vehicles on U.S. 93 North in Kalispell.

A .45-caliber Kimber pistol, two clips, a black leather holster and an iPod were stolen from a vehicle on Treasure Lane.

A Willow Glen Drive resident reported hearing shots from a shotgun.

A chain saw was stolen from a boathouse on a Leisure Drive property.

A wallet and a garage door opener were stolen from a vehicle on Butterfly Lane in Whitefish.

Graffiti was reported on South Cedar Drive building.

A Kalispell Police Department officer on traffic duty reported to a dispatcher that the vehicle he stopped was “probably the first Smart car to get pulled over for speeding.”

A woman said a man had come out of a Third Avenue East apartment and pointed a short black pistol at her while she was in her vehicle.

A very neat woman was counseled by police after she reported someone had broken into her Two Mile Drive home. She had moved all her belongings back to their original positions before officers arrived.

Possible poaching was reported in the area of Wolfpack Way.

A thirsty thief was caught on video stealing a fifth of vodka from a liquor store on Third Avenue East North.

A pair of girls looking for a five-finger discount were arrested for shoplifting on U.S. 93 North before being released to their parents.

A man was arrested during a traffic stop on North Meridian Road.

A laptop, a Nook, movies and a camera were stolen on Fourth Avenue East.

A brand new $150 ski jacket was stolen from a locker on Wolfpack Way.

A makeup bag containing $70 worth of products was stolen from a locker on Wolfpack Way.

Medication was stolen from a vehicle on U.S. 2 West.

A jilted lover had his former girlfriend’s new man arrested by Whitefish Police Department officers Wednesday evening. The man and woman were both in the ex-boyfriend’s apartment, and he called police to have them removed. While the man was arrested, the woman is still on the lease and pays rent, so she was not arrested.

A man was arrested during a traffic stop on U.S. 93 South.

Someone smashed the driver’s side mirror off a car on Spokane Avenue.

The Polson Police Department received a report of a stolen vehicle on Fifth Street East.
