| October 27, 2012 4:00 PM

Mary Wagner, 101, passed away Thursday, Oct. 4, 2012, at Immanuel Lutheran Home in Kalispell.

She was born Feb. 2, 1911, in Lefor, N.D., to Andrew and Regina Yurian. The family later moved to Montana in the Fromberg, Park City area.

Mary met her husband Fred Wagner at a country dance and later married him Feb. 23, 1929, in Billings. In 1933, they moved to Chinook where they farmed and ranched until retiring, and moved to Kalispell in 1967.

She loved to cook, garden, work in her flower beds and fish, especially at Duck Lake. She was a basketball fan of the Chinook Sugarbeeters and the Flathead Braves, and also an avid baseball fan. She contributed in many ways to her Lutheran churches in both Chinook and Kalispell.

Mary was preceded in death by her husband, Fred, on March 27, 1988.

She is survived by her two sons, Richard Wagner and friend, Barbara, of Bigfork, and Roger Wagner and wife, Antoinette, of Whitefish; four grandchildren, Valerie Deneault and husband, Pete, and their two children, Eric and Alyssa, of Missoula, Katherine Lerner and husband, Allen, of Kalispell, Mark Wagner and wife, Taunja, and one child, Abby Wagner, and John Wagner and wife, Melinda, of Whitefish; and also her brother, Frank Yurian of Billings.

Memorial services for Mary Wagner will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 3 at Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Kalispell, with the Rev. Mark Gravrock officiating.

The family suggests memorials may be given to the Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Kalispell or the American Lutheran Church of Chinook.
