Cultural and Art History Club meets

Stumptown Art Studio’s Cultural and Art History Club will discuss Lucian Freud at its November meeting.

The group meets from 10 a.m. to noon Nov. 13 at the studio, 145 Central Ave., Whitefish. Rosella Mosteller will lead the group in a discussion of Freud, a British autobiographical painter.

Rotating general topics are Montana, American, European, and world art history. Participants research the artists and bring their ideas, associations, history of the time and other related threads of interest to the topic of the month and share in an open discussion. Meetings are intended to be educational, fun and engaging.

Upcoming topics include world artists Frida Kahlo and Diego Rivera in December and a comparison of 2012’s artists in January.
