Lakeside writer publishes memoir

| October 31, 2012 5:00 PM

Lakeside author Sue Burdick Gwaltney takes a nostalgic and humorous look at life in the 1950s in her new memoir, “Growing Up with a Chamber Pot: A Lighthearted Memoir of Coming of Age in the Mountains of Montana.”

The book was self-published through Inspiring Voices, a service of Guideposts.

Gwaltney’s true story recalls the carefree days of rock ‘n’ roll, cool cars, fast horses and zany adventures, all contained within the framework of Christian upbringing, and as she says, “showing respect to our elders ... and having the courtesy to always close the gates behind us!”

“Growing Up with a Chamber Pot” is a tribute to Gwaltney’s hometown of Lakeside and the people who have made it “the delightful little town that it is.”
