Whitefish writer tackles economy, mountains

A Whitefish contractor, hiker and photographer has released a book describing how bad economics have changed America.

Jerry Straka’s “You Essay: Supply-side Lies and the Middle Class Demise” is available for preorder from Strategic Book Publishing and Rights Co.

Straka decries the state of journalism in the United State and says Abraham Lincoln’s warning of corporate rule has reached fruition — that the Supreme Court appointed a corporate president and the corporate agenda has been pursued vigorously.

“The Orwellian ‘Ministry of Truth’ narrative became deafening,” Straka says in a news release from the publisher.

“I had to get away and sort it out. So I began climbing and hiking more, and reading and researching economics more. Answers were coming from our leaders or supposed ‘unbiased’ media. So I chose reflection by exploring Glacier Park, witnessing glaciers disappear.”
