Woman and purse tossed from truck
Flathead County Sheriff’s deputies responded to Spring Creek Road in Somers Thursday night after receiving a report that a truck stopped and the driver threw out a woman and drove away, leaving her lying, drunk, in the road. The woman had sustained no injuries and was uncooperative with deputies, leaving the scene to walk home. Sheriff Chuck Curry said the woman was “adamant that nothing happened.”
The woman later called police to say her purse was missing; she believed it also had been thrown from the vehicle. The purse, she said, contained her cellphone and all her belongings. Neither the woman nor a deputy were able to find the handbag.
A deputy used a Taser on a man while investigating a report of a man acting oddly on Trumble Creek Road. The man fell down but immediately jumped back up. He eventually was dropped off at his home.
