Woman reports threat via sticker

A woman with a sticker-laden car complained to Kalispell Police on Tuesday when a man took a sticker of a gun off her car, pointed it at her head and acted like he was going to shoot her. The woman got her sticker back, and both parties were counseled.

Computers were reported stolen from a Hutton Ranch Road business.

Two gymnastics instructors were told not to practice on top of the tall sound wall on the Kalispell bypass.

The driver of a red Dodge said he was being chased by an angry motorcyclist. The driver pulled over behind an officer on a traffic stop, and the motorcyclist drove away. The driver told the officer that the motorcyclist tried to pass him on a hill, got mad at him, kicked his side mirror and then started following him.

A caller on Carnegie Drive told officers Tuesday evening that her 3-year-old granddaughter gets spanked for pooping her pants. The caller said that amounts to child abuse.

A woman riding a bike home from work was bit by a dog.

Someone stole a bike at Woodland Park.

Officers arrested a drunken woman who pushed and knocked a woman to the ground on Merganser Drive.

A suspected sexual assault involving a child was reported.

Four young boys were trying to steal an ice cream cone sign at a business on East Idaho Street.

Early Wednesday morning, officers responded to Heritage Way and arrested a man who locked himself in a room with a 1.5-foot-long 2-by-4 and was beating on doors, walls and windows.

A vehicle had its window smashed out and was ransacked on U.S. 93.

Tuesday, for a second straight day, several people called the Flathead County Sheriff’s Office with their concerns and questions about some men from Estonia selling books door to door. One caller read on Facebook that the men were actually sex traffickers targeting houses with children. Another heard they might be Russian burglars.

One of the men from Estonia stopped by the sheriff’s office to report that someone took his picture and created a disparaging Facebook page about him and his co-workers that says they are gathering information to try to abduct children.

A property on Electric Avenue in Bigfork reported its 10th false burglar alarm since May 7. This time, it was caused by a cleaning crew.

A Hungry Horse man whose German shepherd was stolen a few weeks ago reported seeing a heavyset man walking the dog near a grocery store.

An iPhone was stolen from a vehicle during football practice.

A pontoon boat owned by someone from Alberta was left in a parking lot on Big Mountain and fell down to a lower lot during recent rain showers. The boat was destroyed.

A 17-year-old girl who is supposed to be at her friend’s house is actually at her ex-boyfriend’s house in North Dakota, a caller said.

Whitefish Police were alerted on Monday to possible illegal dumping going on behind a restaurant on East Lakeshore Drive.
