Grinch steals presents, food, cash

A North Meridian Road man contacted the Kalispell Police Department to report a holiday tragedy. When he returned home from taking his son to school, he found his front door open and that someone had stolen his groceries, cash and Christmas presents.

An Airport Road man requested an ambulance for his mother, who had slipped on the ice and hit her head, causing her to bleed. The incident happened after the man reported she nearly set his house on fire and that he didn’t know what to do with her because she wouldn’t listen to him.

An officer cited four youths for violating curfew and returned them to their parents after coming across them during a traffic stop on Sunset Boulevard.

A Wolfpack Way student accidentally “butt dialed” 911 in the lunch room.

A man was arrested for partner or family member assault after getting into a fight at a Montana 35 property.

 

Both sides of a fight contacted the Flathead County Sheriff’s Office after an incident on Grand Drive in Bigfork. The resident called first to say a man had been threatening her and at first wouldn’t leave. She said she planned to file for a restraining order against the man. That man then contacted different law enforcement officers (who passed the information on to Flathead County authorities) an hour later to report he had gone to the emergency room after she assaulted him.

Discord was reported on Harmony Road, where a woman said another woman and her family members were harassing her via text and on Facebook, calling her names and saying she and anyone who knows her should “watch their back.”

A Bigfork man on Foothill Road called to complain about his noisy neighbor, saying he shot either a firework or a firearm and that his dog was barking at 5 o’clock that morning.

An East Evergreen Drive woman reported she and her husband had lent $2,000 to a man who was not paying them back.

A Whitefish Stage woman reported someone was texting her naked pictures and threats.

 

A passerby contacted the Whitefish Police Department after seeing a dog dragging a deer carcass down Somers Avenue.

 

A passerby contacted the Columbia Falls Police Department to report a chilly child. The child was about 10 years old, and the passerby was concerned the youth wasn’t dressed for the weather, wearing only a long-sleeved shirt, jeans and tennis shoes.

A 3-year-old was accidentally locked inside a vehicle on 12th Avenue West Thursday morning for about 20 minutes before a tow company arrived to help unlock the vehicle.

A friendly Labrador hopped in a woman’s vehicle on Third Avenue East after she stopped when she noticed it following her. The happy dog earned itself a ride to the animal shelter, where it could get out of the elements.
