Cowboy Christmas Ball planned at Veterans Home

| December 11, 2013 6:00 PM

Columbia Falls Historical Society’s second annual Cowboy Christmas Ball is from 8 p.m. to midnight Dec. 28 at the old chapel building at the Montana Veterans Home in Columbia Falls.

Music for the evening will be by Steve Stafford and friends. Stafford is a six-time Montana State Fiddle Champion.

Admission is $30 per person or $50 for couples. That price includes an evening of dancing, refreshments and a free photo by Shirley Reynolds of Old Time Photos.

Because the dance is intended to recreate the spirit of the 1800s, those attending should plan on wearing old-time attire as part of the fun. Ladies should note that no pants are allowed.

Last year about 45 dancers of all ages attended. The historical society is hoping even more will be present this year. Dancers of all ages are welcome, which makes the ball an excellent way to celebrate the holiday season.

Tickets may be purchased at the door or by calling 892-0178.
