Stumptown Players offer special ticket deal

| December 11, 2013 6:00 PM

In the holiday spirit, Stumptown Players is offering a special buy two tickets, get two free to its current production at the KM Theatre.

“Spirit Control” by Beau Willimon continues its run with performances tonight, Friday and Saturday at the theater, located in the historic KM Building, 40 Second St. E., Kalispell.

All performances begin at 8 p.m.

“Kalispell and all of the Flathead Valley have supported our productions so enthusiastically, we wanted to give back to the community,” said Alicia Blake, a Stumptown Players founding member, board president and actor. “Free tickets [are] our way of showing our gratitude.”

The play tells the story of Adam Wyatt, who has the perfect family and a perfect record as an air traffic controller.

When the pilot of a small plane suffers a heart attack, Adam must talk a terrified passenger through an emergency landing. What happens next will link him inextricably to a woman he's never met and set the life he once knew irrevocably adrift.

“Spirit Control” is a chilling and mesmerizing look at how we navigate a crisis, and the demons that haunt us long after.

“Although this is Stumptown Players’ fourth season, ‘Spirit Control’ is our first dramatic play,” Blake said. “Every member of our play selection committee was so deeply moved by this beautifully written story, we knew we had to share it with our audiences.”

The show is directed by Mona Charles and Jim Mohn. The cast of “Spirit Control” includes Jim Mohn, Erin Grayce, Wayne McEntire, Rosemary Reynolds, Lori Collins and Nell Ward.

Tickets are $18. All seats are reserved and are available at stumptownplayers.org or by calling 871-6447.
