Ferdinand 'Fred' Roderick Ward, 89

Ferdinand “Fred” Roderick Ward, 89, passed away on Friday, Dec. 13, 2013, at his home in Kalispell.

Fred was born on Nov. 19, 1924, in Outlook, Mont., to Margaret (Paro) and George A. Ward.  

Fred was a World War II veteran and served with the U.S. Army in the Pacific.

Fred married Frances May Mack and they had three sons, George, Donald and Walter.  

He worked as an iron worker at the aluminum plant, and at C & C Plywood and Plum Creek.  

He was a Mason 32nd Degree, and a member of the VFW and Moose Lodge 1922.

Fred was preceded in death by his wife, Frances May (Mack) Ward in 1974.  

He is survived by his three sons, George, Donald and Walter, and their spouses; grandchildren, Mike, Frances, Amanda, Johanna, Gennevieve and Roxanne; great-grandchildren, Chance, Lyla and Saniyah.

A funeral service will be held at noon on Wednesday, Dec. 18 at the Moose Lodge, U.S. 2 E., in Kalispell. Interment will follow at Glacier Memorial Gardens.
