Kalispell Police continue to investigate a Friday night robbery at the Subway store on West Idaho Street.

At about 9:41 p.m., law enforcement responded to the store, where a man armed with a semi-automatic handgun had ordered two employees to get down on the floor.

There were no customers in the building, and the suspect left with cash from the till. The employees were not harmed.

A short time later, officers detained a subject who matched the description of the suspect. After questioning and a review of security video, the man was no longer considered a suspect and he was released.

The perpetrator is described as being just over 6 feet tall with light blue eyes. He was wearing a hooded black or dark blue winter coat, dark blue khaki pants, a black full-faced ski mask and was carrying a backpack.

Anyone with information about the robbery is asked to contact Kalispell Police Det. Myron Wilson at 758-7794 or call Crime Stoppers.
