Superintendent search narrows to five

Five applicants move forward in the Kalispell Public Schools superintendent search.

The candidates were narrowed down from nine total applicants by Kalispell Public Schools board of trustees Tuesday. 

Candidates are as follows in alphabetical order: 

— Deborah Akers, a superintendent in Princeton, W. Va.

— Randy Cline, a superintendent in Frenchtown.

— Mark Flatau, a superintendent in Cle Elum, Wash.

— Glenn Gelbrich, a superintendent in Juneau, Alaska.

— Thomas Moore, an assistant superintendent in Great Falls.

Interviews are slated for Jan. 13 through 14.
