No refund for cold feet
The Flathead County Sheriff’s Office got a call Sunday from a man on Country Way who complained that he gave money to a woman to help them move into a place together, but he decided not to and now she won’t return the money. He was advised that it is a civil matter.
A frightened person calling from Oakmont Loop in the Columbia Falls area reported there was a man in a “drug-induced rage” who locked himself in a bathroom. The man was arrested, but the charge was unclear.
There was a report from Glades Drive in the Whitefish area regarding a theft of a snowboard.
A woman calling from Birch Grove Road reported a gun was stolen from her vehicle.
A woman calling from Parliament Drive reported that someone flattened a tire on her vehicle, and the puncture mark was visible.
A man calling from Ashley Lake Road reported that he had been out of town and had come home to find that someone had a huge party in his house. He suspected it was a house sitter who left the place in the morning.
Lake County put out an advisory regarding the theft of a vehicle from a home on Driftwood Lane in the Bigfork area that had been burglarized. The vehicle was later located at McCaffery Lookout Road and McCaffery Lookout Trail, and towed to a different location.
A girl calling from Mission Way South reported that her father punched her younger sister in the face. The outcome was unclear.
A woman calling from Ninth Street West reported finding a woman in her car on Ninth Street West in the Columbia Falls area. She confronted the woman, who then fled in another vehicle. It did not appear anything had been stolen.
A mother calling from Hungry Horse Boulevard reported that her adult son came home highly intoxicated and out of control. The man was taken to the hospital for a mental health evaluation.
There was a report of a purse with a pistol in it stolen from a vehicle at a location off U.S. 93 North in the Olney area.
After a traffic stop on U.S. 2 East of Kalispell, a man was arrested on multiple warrants.
After Whitefish Police got a report of a van nearly striking another vehicle and then going into a ditch off Wisconsin Avenue, a woman was arrested for drunken driving Monday at about 1 a.m.
At about 3 a.m., there was a report of an intoxicated man walking down the middle of U.S. 93 South. The man was turned over to a taxi.
Columbia Falls Police got a report Sunday regarding a group of unwanted teenage boys asking for handouts in a grocery store parking lot on Ninth Street West. They were told move on.
