Angry landlord gets legal lesson
The Flathead County Sheriff’s Office got involved in a landlord-tenant dispute after the landlord, upset about money he was owed, went to his former tenant’s new residence to demand he be paid.
The landlord confronted the tenant, who told him to leave. The landlord then called 911 after seeing the tenant holding a rifle inside his residence. Because the tenant never threatened him, the landlord was counseled on his actions and advised of the proper, civil manner in which to deal with such issues in the future.
