Cleo Darlene Knauss, 95
Cleo Darlene Knauss passed away Jan. 15, 2013, at Immanuel Lutheran Home in Kalispell, at the age of 95, where since 2006 she was so lovingly cared for by the staff. Though her eyesight and hearing diminished, she always retained her beautiful sense of humor and upbeat attitude.
Born in Craig, Neb., on April 18, 1917, the beloved only child of L.G. and Pearl Hamilton, she grew up and finished college in Omaha, Neb.
She and her husband moved to Lakeside in 1955 to live near her parents during their retirement years.
An avid homemaker, golfer and bridge player, Cleo enjoyed life to the fullest, spending many winters at her home in Mesa, Ariz.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and three husbands, Bob Keeley, Rusty Larcombe, and Sam Knauss.
Surviving Cleo locally is her cousin, Sue Gwaltney and her family, Jim and Linda Norvell and Ron and Sheila Wininger of Somers, and Kelly and Misty Lane of Nampa, Idaho. She is also survived by her dearest and closest friend, Eva Norvell Brundige, also of Somers.
Cleo loved her Lord, children, and all dogs.
She would be honored by contributions made to Hospice of Kalispell, Lakeside Chapel, Shriners Children's Hospital or the Flathead Animal Shelter.
Her resting place will be beside her parents at the C.E. Conrad Memorial Cemetery, with a memorial gathering to be held at a later date in the spring.
