| July 12, 2013 9:00 PM

A Winchester Street woman was frightened into calling police after a homeless man wandering around with a bucket asking to wash cars knocked on her door — which she didn’t answer — before looking in the window and repeatedly yelling, “I can see you in there.” The man’s behavior also scared her children.

Fraternal fist fighting landed a pair of Kalispell brothers in jail after their drunken Maple Drive brawl was reported.

A mad motorist took it upon herself to control traffic in Bigfork, brake checking and flipping off another motorist behind her, swerving at the other driver when he tried to pass her. When the other driver stopped at a stop sign and asked the woman what she was doing, she accused the driver of speeding.

A West Idaho Street bank employee had to be vouched for to the Kalispell Police Department by his boss after accidentally pulling out the bait money, which could have set off a burglary alarm or panic alarm.

A “medical emergency” was reported at a North Meridian Road storage unit, which was left wide open, revealing a large amount of medical files. The storage unit was secured, and the key was taken to the police department for safe keeping.

A woman who just couldn’t say no to her midnight fast-food craving was arrested for drunken driving after being reported in the drive-thru of a U.S. 2 West restaurant behaving very drunkenly and smelling of alcohol.

A good Samaritan called 911 to get help after finding a bicyclist down on Stillwater Road. The man, who was conscious and breathing but disoriented and possibly drunk, had crashed on his own without getting hit.

A Wisconsin Avenue man complained that employees of the business next door kept smoking and making noise right outside his window and ignored him when he complained. He eventually decided to take matters into his own hands and contacted a lawyer.

A remorseful reckless driver was forgiven after initially being reported to the Columbia Falls Police Department early Friday morning. The man was one of several motorists speeding through a trailer court near Ninth Street West and spinning brodies, but unlike the others, he stopped, walked up to the resident who was in the middle of reporting him, and apologized for his behavior.

An officer had his hands full dealing with girls running around town shortly after 1 a.m., catching three of them before heading to Columbus Park where the rest were reportedly hanging out at the tennis courts “to try and round ’em up.”
