Griffith shines in Badlands Bowl

MILES CITY — Glacier wide receiver Kyle Griffith caught a 26-yard touchdown pass from Manhattan quarterback Quinn McQuery and was perfect on five-extra point kicks to help Montana beat North Dakota 43-29 Saturday evening in the 20th annual Knights of Columbus Badlands Bowl at Connors Stadium.

Griffith’s touchdown reception came with 6:10 remaining in the opening quarter, giving Montana a quick 22-0 lead. Griffith finished with seven receptions for 52 yards.

Montana has won the last three games in the series and leads overall 15-5. Montana is 10-2 in Miles City.

Also playing for Montana were Glacier defensive lineman Devin Jeffries, defensive backs Reid Siderius and Rial Gunlikson and Polson offensive lineman Riley Sampson.
