Woman just says 'no' to drugs

A Fourth Avenue West woman contacted the Kalispell Police Department to report that she had kicked a man out of her home earlier after he asked her if he could use methamphetamine in her house. The man, believed to have been recently released from jail, later returned to her yard before running off in an unknown direction.

A minor head-on collision at the intersection of West Center Street and Fifth Avenue West temporarily blocked several lanes shortly before 4:30 p.m. Saturday.

A suspicious man with a small dog was reported approaching lots of children on Liberty Street and talking to them. A responding officer was unable to locate the man.

A motorist caught red-handed with an open container of alcohol in his car at a West Idaho Street fast-food restaurant locked his vehicle and turned his keys over to police.

A concerned grandmother reported her granddaughter was being stalked by the man that was stalking girls at a local high school.

A report of looters stealing out of a semi on First Avenue West North turned out to be phone book deliverers, picking up their shipments from the trailer.

A group of people in two pickup trucks were reported hooting and hollering on First Avenue East North.

A College Avenue cat lover reported her cat had been attacked twice, possibly by feral cats, in the “hood.” She wanted advice on what to do because the veterinarian bills were getting too expensive.

 A distraught and belligerent man contacted the Whitefish Police Department, claiming he was naked, had no shoes, and that officers did nothing about him getting beaten up in front of an East First Street restaurant.

One man was arrested for public urination, resisting arrest, and obstructing a peace officer on Central Avenue, while his companion was arrested only for obstructing a peace officer.

A group of six international visitors were reported drinking and having a very loud, inappropriate conversation on East First Street. They were advised to keep it down.

A child-sized Giant bicycle was found on Woodland Place.

 An inconsiderate motorist in a lifted pickup truck drew a call to the Columbia Falls Police Department after spraying a pedestrian with gravel.
