A Father's Day gift gone awry

A man asked Columbia Falls Police for help Sunday night getting out of some handcuffs and “a Father’s Day gift that didn’t go right.”

Two Sixth Street West neighbors decided to introduce their pit bulls. It didn’t go so well. One of the dogs was reportedly bleeding and injured, but not too badly.

 

A Pleasant Valley Road man told the Flathead County Sheriff’s Office he heard a loud explosion around 2 a.m. Sunday. He went outside later that morning and found someone blew up his electric gate.

A wallet with $700 in it was stolen from a car on Stoner Creek Road in Lakeside.

A red Nissan Pathfinder was reported stolen.

A woman said a pit bull came after her when she was jogging on Foothill Road Saturday night, but she worked it out with the dog’s owner.

A man found what he thought was a bag of crystal meth in a Kalispell store’s parking lot. According to a deputy, it turned out to be a crushed Life Saver.

A toolbox was stolen from a man’s truck while he was fishing.

Sunday night, a group of children were reportedly crying on Stillwater Road after someone ran over their cat and drove off.

An air traffic controller told deputies that an airplane flying at 7,700 feet was hit with a green laser light at 11:18 p.m.

A woman in Bigfork got scared and called 911 when a man on a bicycle came up to her, said he was from New York and asked what time a store reopened. A deputy followed up with the man, who was a cross-country bicyclist.

A Conrad Drive man said two teenagers knocked on the front door, grabbed his wife when she answered and threw her down. They left in a dark blue car.

 

A Fourth Avenue East man told Kalispell Police his ex-wife tried to give him a pill Sunday evening. He didn’t know what to do with it, so an officer came and picked it up.

An 11-year-old boy on Eighth Avenue West was scared because of a drunken woman in the yard. The woman is “crazy” and comes around about twice a week. She left a note saying, “You are going to lose everything.”

Three windows were broken out of a building on East Center Street.

Later that night, someone reported a large group of youths in a white Tahoe with a black top shining a laser at people on First Avenue East North.

Officers took a girl to the hospital after responding to a verbal disturbance on Fourth Avenue East North.

A man on Kelly Road said all the scrap iron was taken from his business again. This has occurred three separate times, he told police.

Several cats are reportedly causing problems on Fourth Avenue West.

Monday morning, officers found a suspected drunken driver wasn’t drunk. Instead, they cited him for inattentive driving.

 

Someone went through an unlocked vehicle parked on Woodside Lane, a caller told Whitefish Police on Sunday morning.

A camera and wallet were stolen from a locked vehicle parked on Colorado Avenue.
