Eckels now performs at Sunday brunch

Local guitar performer and instructor Steve Eckels has changed his weekly performance time from Wednesdays to Sundays at Rising Sun Bistro.

The new time is from noon to 2 p.m. The bistro is located at 25 Second Ave. W. in Kalispell. Reservations are recommended; call 755-7510.

Eckels will perform weekly, except for July 14. His specialties include instrumental guitar arrangements of opera arias and the music of Benny Goodman, Billy Holiday, Fats Waller and Django Reinhardt. He also performs original compositions written in the classical/pop crossover style and plays requests.

Eckels is the author of 15 guitar books for Mel Bay Publications and is the guitar instructor for Flathead High School and Flathead Valley Community College.
