Bus Driver Tour comes home
A band that formed in Polebridge is coming home in July.
The Bus Driver Tour will perform in Polebridge July 4 and in Coram July 6.
The band now tours the United States independently out of a Blue Bird school bus, often bringing along friends and musicians from around the country.
The Bus Driver Tour is made up of three songwriters, Danny Freund, Ian Thomas and Paul Lee Kupfer. While on tour as solo artists, the three friends started acting as one another’s backing band, switching between drums, guitar and bass. The result was an infectious good vibe and a sound that got people moving.
The band’s sound includes country, folk, blues and rock ‘n’ roll. But the group plays a different kind of show, one that is original, gritty and distinguished by the three distinct harmony singers and their songwriting.
The Bus Driver Tour will be in Polebridge for the Fourth of July. The band will be at the parade, which starts at noon, and then plays at the Northern Lights Saloon at 2 p.m.
On July 6, the band plays at 9 p.m. at the Stonefly Lounge in Coram.
