Mark Norley leads Crits & Croissants

| March 6, 2013 5:30 PM

Mark Norley leads this month’s Crits and Croissants session at the Hockaday Museum of Art.

Norley is a Montana native with a Bachelor of Art degree in applied art from Montana State University and a Master of Art in design from the University of California, Los Angeles. He has taught drawing, painting and related subjects at the high school and college levels, and has exhibited his work locally and around the country.

Norley’s favorite media are watercolor, oil and mixed media. He offers encouragement for artists in all genres.

“Regardless of the media or the level of  art maturity displayed, I always emphasize the successes in each piece of work,” he says. “Sharing my experiences is always a pleasure and hopefully helpful.”

Crits and Croissants: A Saturday Morning Artist’s Critique takes place every second Saturday of the month, September through May, at the Hockaday, 302 Second Ave. E., Kalispell. The forum offers artists 15 and older a chance to have one or more pieces of recently created artwork reviewed by professional artists, while they enjoy coffee and croissants.

This month’s session runs from 10:30 a.m. to noon Saturday in the museum’s classroom. The cost is $5 for museum members, or $7 for nonmembers.
