Missing teenage snowboarder found

The Flathead County Sheriff’s Office got a report Sunday at about 5:45 p.m. regarding a missing teenage snowboarder at Whitefish Mountain Resort. A search was mobilized, and the snowboarder was eventually located.

Earlier in the day, a person calling from Kelley Road in the Columbia Falls area reported finding the words “you’re dead” written in the dirt of a vehicle. The caller suggested it might be the result of a dispute in the family.

There was a report of jewelry stolen at a residence on Anderson Lane.

There was a report from Dyer Road in the Kalispell area regarding a suspicious man who was asking if the reporting party knew of any back roads to get to the Lakeside area.

Responding to a report of a man getting physical with his teenage daughter at a Rocky Cliff Drive residence, deputies ended up arresting the man.

There was a report of an unruly teenage girl punching her mother several times at a Summit Avenue residence in the Somers area.

There was a report of a vehicle stolen from a location Helena Flats Road.

At about 2 a.m. Monday, there was report from a Ninth Street West location in the Columbia Falls area from a man who wanted his girlfriend and her friends to leave the place.

 

A man calling Kalispell Police from Cooper Lane Sunday reported that another man refused to leave his house. The unwanted man also made threats against a dog, until the reporting party threatened him with a stun gun, prompting him to leave. 

A woman calling from Third Avenue West reported that two guys drove by her house on a dirt bike and threw a dead bird at her house. A responding officer speculated that the bird might have flown into her window. 

There was a report of a ramp for snowmobiles stolen from a Bluestone Drive address.

After assisting the Montana Highway Patrol with a traffic stop on North Main Street, an officer ended up transporting someone to the county jail.

A Windriver Drive resident reported that a man was banging on his door and trying to get in. The potential intruder eventually wandered off.

At about 12:30 a.m. Monday, an Eighth Street West resident reported that a man came into her yard and was sitting on her porch and banging on her door. The man eventually left.

At about 1:40 a.m., a man showed up at Kalispell Regional Medical Center saying he was suicidal and telling staff that he threw a loaded pistol under a tree at Flathead Valley Community College and was willing to help police recover it. The pistol was soon after found at the college.

 

Whitefish Police were contacted Sunday by the parent of a child who stole a box of pencils from school.

 

Columbia Falls Police got a report Sunday from a property owner off U.S. 2 East who said there was an unwanted recreational vehicle parked on his property. The property owner, who was out of the area, was advised that he would need to have it towed if he did not want it there.
