Matt Alexander, warehouse manager for the Flathead Food Bank, boxes up food donations from Glacier High School Friday at U.S. Bank in Kalispell. Glacier and Flathead high schools held a crosstown competition to see who could collect the most donations for the food bank. Flathead High School won the challenge by bringing in 1,063 pounds of food and $976. Glacier donations totaled 981 pounds and $360. For each dollar donation, the schools were credited for one pound, bringing the final total to 2,039 pounds for Flathead to 1,341 for Glacier. The results of the crosstown food drive were announced Friday night at the crosstown football game. The winning school receives $200 for its booster club plus a commemorative football autographed by the Denver Broncos. The football was donated by Broncos quarterback Brock Osweiler, a Flathead graduate.
