Inmate's death tied to seizure disorder
Powell County Coroner John Pohle has released causes of death for a pair of convicted murderers serving life sentences at the Montana State Prison.
Joe Buck, who brutally beat Kalispell businessman George Evans to death in October 2002, was first moved to the prison infirmary before being transported to Deer Lodge Medical Center on June 20 and subsequently pronounced dead.
Pohle said Thursday that Buck died of natural causes as a result of a seizure disorder associated with juvenile diabetes.
Cleveland Boyer, who gunned down 21-year-old Danny Venezuela at a Holiday gas station in Billings in 2010, died of mixed drug toxicity after being transported to the Deer Lodge Medical Center on Aug. 23. Pohle said he was not permitted to say what the drugs were.
