Margaret B. (Ramsey) Dylina Howard, 83

| November 9, 2013 6:31 PM

Margaret B. (Ramsey) Dylina Howard “passed peacefully into the Lord's arms” Nov. 4, 2013, in Bigfork.

She was born in Shelby, first daughter of Howard and Elfrieda (Beardsley) Ramsey, and had her father's fiery hair and temperament.

She married her first husband, Phil Dylina, in Roundup and together they had three daughters, Pamela Dylina, Deborah Sullivan and Glenda  Brown.

Margaret met her second husband, Edward E. Howard, Coast Guard warrant officer, in Seattle in 1966, and traveled the United States with him on his assignments. She was especially proud of earning a CNA while in Milwaukee in the late '60s, though she remained a homemaker throughout her life. They retired to Key West, where they managed a marina, then moved back to the West Coast.

Margaret lived many years in Grants Pass, Ore., before returning to Kalispell, her family home. She had special affection for Sykes’ Coffee Shop, where she was a regular until she entered Lake View Healthcare Center in 2012. Her homes were filled with flowers, color and lace, and friends loved her sense of humor and hospitality.

Margaret is survived by her three daughters, seven grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

There will be a memorial service at a later date when her ashes will be interred in her mother's grave at the C.E. Conrad Memorial Cemetery.
