Man would rather driver stay off his yard

An Ashley Lake Road resident contacted the Flathead County Sheriff’s Office after a man in a pickup drove through his yard. The resident followed the young man to a nearby business, where the resident found the man to be drunk and belligerent. The man said he was going to go back to the property to “whoop” the man, admitted driving through the yard and said he was going to do it again. The resident did not want charges pursued; he just wanted the man not to drive onto his private property again.

A Batavia Lane man shared his shock with the sheriff’s office after finding a deer head on the roof of his shed. He said it hadn’t been there that morning.

A man was arrested for partner or family member assault after getting drunk and threatening people at a South Cedar Drive property. He also threatened to shoot it out with officers if pulled over.

A woeful woman contacted the sheriff’s office after accidentally throwing out a plastic container with $3,500 worth of her jewelry inside when she dumped her trash at a green box site.

A concerned passerby reported a large dog on Whitefish Stage Road had its head stuck in a bucket. By the time a deputy responded, the dog’s owner had removed the bucket from its head.

The brother-in-law of a Cynthia Drive resident saw a scruffy-looking man standing near the resident’s daughter’s bedroom window when he let the resident’s dogs out.

An East Reserve Drive man reported a man threatened him with a handgun.

A confused motorist pulled over for a blue truck with blue flashing lights, which the driver of the truck shut off as soon as it passed the stopped motorist.

Kalispell Police officers were unable to locate a man who had faked suicide the week prior and was now threatening that he was on his way to his girlfriend and her whole family.

A drunken man was arrested at a Fourth Avenue West property after a pair of calls Wednesday night. He was reported throwing furniture before he left. The man’s stepfather, who owned the furniture, told police he was no longer welcome and would call back if the man returned. The man did return, climbing into the house through a window. An officer then responded and arrested him.

A manic motorist was seen swerving across three lanes of traffic to turn on Hutton Ranch Road from U.S. 93.

A Third Avenue West woman reported her boyfriend, who doesn’t have a phone or a license, took off with her truck, which contained all of her belongings. He later returned with the vehicle and her belongings.

A pair of women fled a Hutton Ranch Road store after failing to escape with stolen toys, a sewing machine and other items.

A man stopped by the police department to report he was being harassed by police through false accusations.

A Grandview Drive woman reported she was being harassed on Craigslist.


A woman acting strangely at a hospital and outside a hostel led to two calls to the Whitefish Police Department Wednesday. She was first reported inappropriately addressing people coming in a door at a Hospital Way facility, then walking back and forth between a pair of Lupfer Avenue properties, first requesting help, and then refusing it.

A man was arrested by officers who responded to an East Second Street home after a dispatcher heard a woman screaming “get off me” on an open line to 911 from the woman’s phone.

A representative from a U.S. 93 South business reported he had signed off on bail for an ex-employee and just found out she was planning to leave the area. He wanted to know where he stood on the bail money.

Someone broke into a Wisconsin Avenue garage and stole two sets of golf clubs.

An accident closed one lane of U.S. 93 3 miles north of Polson for 20 minutes Thursday afternoon.
