Woman wants arrest for broken plate

A woman who called for an officer from the Kalispell Police Department hung up on a dispatcher after she was advised that her son could not be arrested for criminal mischief for breaking a plate. The woman had told the dispatcher he needed to be arrested before “she goes to prison for killing him.” She called back the next day after her son got in trouble at school for drug distribution, saying he had been suspended from school and again asking why he hadn’t been arrested.

A drunk man with the munchies put in his order at a drive-through of an East Idaho Street fast-food restaurant, but passed out before he made it to the window. Officers responded and arrested him.

A truck driver damaged his rig when he had to slam on his brakes to avoid another driver traveling just 2 or 3 miles per hour in the fast lane on U.S. 93 South. The other driver immediately made a U-turn and left the scene.

An 11th Street West woman initially reported a suspicious person passed out in a truck in her driveway and that she was afraid to approach the vehicle, but later determined she knew the man and was OK with him being there.

Officers responded to a Woodland Park Drive bar after an assault, but it was determined that both the person who reported the incident and the victim were too drunk to get any information from.

Someone with either a mighty thirst or a desperate need for change tried to break into a soda machine in front of a North Meridian Road business.

The parent of a 15-year-old boy called for advice when the boy refused to go to school.

A motorist was reported driving down Stillwater Road at a high rate of speed with no headlights on.

A wandering cow was reported blocking Airport Road near Begg Park Drive.

A man was arrested during a traffic stop on First Avenue East for drunk driving.


An upset passerby contacted the Whitefish Police Department to report panhandlers at an intersection on U.S. 93 South walking out into cars and causing a traffic jam.


An off-shift employee of a Ninth Street West bar contacted the Columbia Falls Police Department after finding a woman outside with no clothes on who reported she had been raped. The employee said she was familiar with the man whom the woman identified as a suspect, saying he was a regular at the bar.

An officer responded to Nucleus Avenue after a woman had a bleeding cut on her head after being hit by a bottle. No one saw the incident occur.

A motorist was reported spinning brodies and yelling at people in a Ninth Street West parking lot.
