Michael Lee Nashton Jr., 22

| November 26, 2013 4:13 PM

Michael Lee Nashton Jr., 22, was taken far too soon on Nov. 23, 2013.

He was born on July 10, 1991, in Whitefish to Michael Lee Nashton Sr. of Rome, N.Y., and Tamie Marie Marsh of Columbia Falls.

Michael grew up in Evergreen and attended college at Universal Technical Institute in Phoenix, graduating with his associate’s degree in diesel mechanics. He then moved home to start his career as a diesel mechanic with aspirations of starting his own business like his father.

He enjoyed hunting, fishing and the outdoors. He especially loved his girlfriend, Katie, and being with her and his family.

Mikey J. was so fun loving and free spirited. His smile was so infectious — he comforted everyone he knew. In the last few months he accomplished so many of his dreams. He took a road trip with his mom to get the truck he always dreamed of and drove that on the hunting trip of his life with his dad where he finally got his first bull elk.

He is survived by his grandmothers, Angela Nashton and Ginger Owens; his parents, Tamie Nashton, Mike Nashton and stepmother Amber; girlfriend, Katie Anderson; brother and sisters, Brian DuRain, Tara Marsengill, Tarissa Marsengill and Jenell Palmer; as well as many, many uncles, aunts, cousins and too many friends to name.

He was preceded in death by his grandfathers, Alex Nashton and Dennis Marsh.

Services will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 30, at Johnson-Gloschat Funeral Home at 525 Main St. in Kalispell.

Johnson-Gloschat Funeral Home and Crematory is caring for Michael’s family. You are invited to go to www.jgfuneralhome.com to view Michael’s guest book, offer condolences and share memories.
