Bigfork Community Players stage 'Bus Stop'

Bigfork Community Players stage “Bus Stop” in its season opener this month.

Director Mary Reckin returns to Bigfork Community Players to direct the romantic comedy by William Inge. The play is set in a bus stop restaurant in a small Kansas town in the 1950s, where a bus is forced to stopover due to a snowstorm.

“Bus Stop” explores love, life and drama in a relatable story.

The cast includes Tony Nelson, Shannon Bagley, Teri Terrific, Don McAdam, Adam Montague, Walt Gunn, Jeff Cormier and Katy Haas. The set designer is Ana Dwyer, and costume designer is Shirley Reynolds.

The nonprofit theater group will perform the show at 7:30 p.m. Oct. 11, 12, 18 and 19, and at 2 p.m. Oct. 13 and 20. All performances are at the Bigfork Center for the Performing Arts on Electric Avenue in Bigfork.

Tickets are $16 for general admission, $6 for children under 12, and $11 for seniors and Bigfork Community Players members. Purchase tickets at the Kalispell Grand Hotel, Bigfork Drug or at the door.

The Bigfork Community Players is an amateur theater company that produces plays during the fall, winter and spring in Bigfork. Membership is open to everyone.
