Soccer: Bravettes slip past Helena Capital

HELENA — Paige Birky accounted for all of the scoring with her goal at the 25-minute mark as Flathead spilled Helena Capital 1-0 in girls Western AA soccer play on Thursday.

Capital (2-7-2) held an edge in shots on goal, 11-6, and corner kicks, 2-0.

Zoe Zander had eight keeper saves for Flathead (7-3-1).

The victory locked up the No. 2 division seed for the Bravettes for the upcoming playoffs.

Flathead ends its regular-season today with a 10 a.m. match against Helena High.
