LeeAnne 'Missy' Lauderbaugh, 48
LeeAnne Lauderbaugh, also known as "Missy," 48, passed away Tuesday afternoon, Oct. 15, 2013, at North Valley Hospital in Whitefish.
She was born March 15, 1965, in Kokomo, Ind., to Nathaniel and Barbara (Ellabarger) Lauderbaugh.
She attended and later obtained her GED. LeeAnne also received an associate’s degree from Ivy Tech State College. She had traveled extensively across the United States, settling in Montana, which she said was "always cold and snowy but very beautiful."
She is survived by her son, Jason Blackwell, of Austin, Texas. Also surviving are her brothers, Tom Lauderbaugh and Dave and Judy Lauderbaugh of Kokomo; nieces and nephews, Nikki and Russell Parkhurst, Nathan and Ashley Lauderbaugh, Aaron Lauderbaugh, and Kira and Shane Lowe, all of Kokomo, and Jennifer and Josh Gray of Centreville, Va.; great-nieces and great-nephews, Kynzie Shane, Jackson and Chase Lauderbaugh, Elijah Lowe, and Kendall and Owen Gray.
LeeAnne was preceded in death by a husband, Larry Blackwell; her parents; and an infant son, Joshua.
The family wishes to thank everyone, particularly Dr. Losey and the nursing staff, at North Valley Hospital for their love and caring support during LeeAnne’s illness. Also, many thanks to Patrick and Erin Rose and special friend, Lorenzo Segovia, for their kindness, understanding and assistance they provided LeeAnne.
Her wishes were for no public visitation and to be cremated. An open house to celebrate LeeAnne’s life will be from 2 to 5 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 25 at Austin Funeral Home on U.S. 93 in Whitefish.
