Museum offers quilting workshop

| September 11, 2013 5:00 PM

From Sept. 18 to Nov. 6, the Museum at Central School is offering a free traditional quilting workshop.

The workshops will be held every other Wednesday from 1 to 4 p.m. at the museum. The sessions are open to all.

The workshop will be led by expert quilter and museum volunteer Betty Jo Malone.

Participants can be beginners, or have experience and come to learn tips and new skills for existing projects. Quilters can attend one workshop, two, three or all.

Some materials are provided, but participants are encouraged to bring scissors, straight pins and fabric swatches.

The focus will be on traditional quilt patterns, pleasant conversation and a fun learning activity for all. The workshop is part of the museum's effort to keep traditional art and craft forms alive.

The Museum at Central School is located at 124 Second Ave. E., Kalispell. Call Malone 755-6323 for more information.
