Security deposit leads to boozy bash

A burned boyfriend contacted the Kalispell Police Department after his girlfriend’s mother took the $300 deposit from their landlord which she was supposed to put in the bank and instead gave it to her boyfriend, who said he was going to buy beer and throw a party.

A concerned coworker reported a woman had not been into work in a week, but it was later discovered the wayward woman had quit.

A group of boys were cited and released for being minors in possession of an intoxicant on Fourth Avenue East North.

Several syringes and baggies were reported in an ashtray outside the sheriff’s office.

A woman was arrested for drunk driving during a traffic stop on South Meridian Road.


A Whitefish Police Department officer was unable to locate a large group of teenagers reported hanging out on the football field near East Fourth Street, lighting off fireworks and making a lot of noise. It was reported that the teens were split into two groups, each lighting off mortar fireworks, possibly trying to shoot them at one another.

A bothered businessman reported someone had hacked into his company’s cellphone account and ordered two new phones. The mindful man had the phone company put a stop on the order, and noted that the unknown person had since tried to order more.


A Ninth Street West bartender contacted the Columbia Falls Police Department after witnessing a man grab a woman by the hair and hit her before they left. The couple were tracked down to Rocky Lane, where the woman claimed that they were making love and the man complained that the officer was harassing them in their home at midnight. Both were extremely drunk.

A girl was released to her grandmother after being arrested for theft and obstructing on Talbot Road.
