Cindi Turbyfill, 53

| January 5, 2014 11:00 PM

Cindi Parkos Bratlien Turbyfill, 53, “went home to be with her Lord” on Jan. 1, 2014.

Cindi was born to Marianne Steinbeisser and Jim Parkos on Oct. 14, 1960, in Sidney. She attended school in Watford City, N.D., and graduated in 1979. In 1979, she married Darrell Wollan and had two boys, Michael and Troy. After they divorced, she moved to Kalispell in 1988. In Kalispell she began working at National Flood Services where she met many of her lifelong friends. She met the love of her life William Turbyfill in 1996 and they married in December 2004.

Cindi was like a mother to her niece Kaysha Parkos, her brother Edward's daughter.

Cindi loved to be surrounded by loved ones, both family and friends. One of her most favorite places was boating on Hungry Horse Reservoir with her beloved husband, William. She touched the life of anyone she met and was a deeply compassionate friend. No one will forget her easy smile and quick tears.  She loved her grandchildren fiercely.

Cindi was preceded in death by her mother Marianne Steinbeisser and her stepfather Alvin Bratlien.

Cindi is survived by her husband, William, of Columbia Falls; son Michael and his spouse, Stephanie, of Alaska; son Troy and his spouse, Ashley, and their children Carlie and Cameron of Hawaii; her father, Jim Parkos; her brothers Leonard, Edward and Bill; and sisters Marilyn, Lana, Tina and Tiffany.

A memorial service will be held Tuesday, Jan. 7, at 11 a.m. at Our Saviors Lutheran Church in Columbia Falls. Columbia Mortuary is caring for the family. You are invited to visit www.columbiamortuary.com to view the tribute wall and offer condolences.
