Gunshot wound ruled 'accidental'

The Flathead County Sheriff’s Office investigated after getting a report Sunday at 8 a.m. about a man being dropped at the Kalispell Regional Medical Center emergency room with a gunshot wound to his leg. “This was from all appearances an accidental gunshot wound that occurred when a person was playing with a revolver,” Undersheriff Dave Lieb said of the incident, which occurred somewhere in Evergreen.

A woman calling from Two Mile Drive said her boyfriend was punched in the face by her son, which led to the arrest of the son for assault.

A woman calling from Meadow Lake Drive requested assistance in removing a male friend from her residence. Instead, the man locked her out of her own home for awhile before agreeing to leave and stay somewhere else.

A woman calling from U.S. 2 in Evergreen said she attempted to use a community laundry but it was occupied by a man whose dog lunged at her. She said the man yelled at her each time she attempted get her laundry.

Early Monday, at about 1:15 a.m., an intoxicated woman calling from a bar in Coram said another woman pulled some of her hair out. By the time a deputy located the reporting party, she forgot what her original complaint was.

 

A woman calling Kalispell Police on behalf of her mother Sunday reported that a man keeps coming to her mother’s house on Fourth Avenue East and pounding on the door, asking for a job. The man was advised not to return to the residence.

After a traffic stop on U.S. 93 South, a man was arrested on a rape warrant.

Early Monday, at about 3 a.m., there was a report of a disturbance at a Windward Way residence where people were yelling and throwing things around. Police made contact with the residents, who denied there was any kind of argument.

There was a report of a vehicle being broken into sometime overnight on First Avenue East North, and apparently a wallet was stolen.

Items were reportedly stolen from an unlocked vehicle on Fourth Avenue West.

There was a report of a vehicle being ransacked on Seventh Avenue West, with a jacket and cell phone being stolen.

A man calling from Fourth Avenue West North reported his vehicle was stolen by his ex-girlfriend. He said the vehicle was up for repossession and he has to get it back, but she took it to Great Falls.

 Whitefish Police got a report Sunday regarding a Colorado Avenue resident who was afraid of a man who moved in with her and now refuses to leave.

 Columbia Falls Police got a report Sunday of someone leaving two puppies in a shopping cart outside of a store on Ninth Street West. An employee ended up taking the puppies home.
