POLSON — The Glacier boys (3-2) outscored Polson (2-4) 36-17 in the second half to run away with a victory, beating the Pirates 74-42 in a nonconference basketball game on Tuesday.

Bryan Michaels led Glacier with 23 points and 11 rebounds and Evan Epperly added 19 points and eight assists in the Wolfpack rout. Glacier scored early and often, putting up 22 points in the first quarter and never scoring less than 16 in a frame.

“We were real consistent scoring all the way through,” Glacier coach Mark Harkins said.

“We played well as a team offensively. (Michaels and Epperly) had great nights. To get those two playing like that, and we had a lot of other contributions, it was a pretty good team effort.”

The Wolfpack locked down Polson late, allowing just three points in the fourth quarter.

Andrew Weltz had 21 points to lead the Pirates.
