Daphne Nicole Sellers, 23

| July 19, 2014 7:56 PM

“God in His infinite wisdom and grace plucked our precious and beautiful daughter suddenly from this world of sorrows into His marvelous light and eternal rest for Jesus’ sake.” Daphne Nicole Sellers, 23, of Great Falls and formerly of Phoenix, “went to be with the Lord” on Saturday, July 12, 2014.

“My sheep hear My voice, and I know them, and they follow Me; and I give eternal life to them, and they will never perish; and no one will snatch them out of My hand.” John 10:27-28

We thanked God for our brave daughter as she struck out on her own at the age of 19 to move to Phoenix to start a new chapter in her love for life, people and adventure; then her transition back through Great Falls to broaden her horizons. However, “her plans were cut short by a loving God she trusted. Lord, thank you for our precious daughter, Daphne, and the times we spent with her. Thank you for the blessed hope of the resurrection when we will be reunited in God's glory and eternal rest. In Jesus' name, Amen.”

Daphne was born Sept. 2, 1990, in Great Falls. She graduated from Great Falls High School in 2008 and went on to attend the University of Montana in Missoula. Over the past five years she worked in hospitality, retail clothing, restaurant and tavern industries. She loved the Lord and was a baptized and confirmed member of Trinity Lutheran Church.

Daphne had an amazing sense of humor and was the “movie line queen.” There was not a day that went by during her last month in Great Falls that Daph and her mom didn't exchange movie lines during casual conversation. We will miss her quick wit. What a cackle Daph was! She also loved fashion. Daphne loved to put outfits together and could do it like a pro. She wanted everyone to look and feel amazing. She also was an avid weightlifter, going to the gym almost daily. (“See ya at the gun show.”)

Daphne is survived by her mother, Jill O’Moore, of Great Falls; father, Darryl Sellers, of Great Falls and Jackson, Wyo.; sister, Austyn Sellers, of Great Falls; brother, Isaac Lee, of Great Falls; grandparents, Jean Sellers, and Gary and Rose Shelden; niece, Kyslie Jean Dear; stepfather, Karl O’Moore, of Kansas City, Mo.; stepbrothers, Patrick O’Moore of Oregon, and Mathew O’Moore of South Carolina; and numerous loving uncles, aunts, and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her beloved grandfather, Kay Sellers.

Visitation will be held from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Sunday, July 27, at O’Connor Funeral Home in Great Falls. Graveside services will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Monday, July 28, at Highland Cemetery, with a celebration of life to follow beginning at 2:30 p.m. at Trinity Lutheran Church, located at 1226 First Ave. N., in Great Falls. O’Connor Funeral Home is handling arrangements.
