Family dispute escalates into fight
A Flathead County Sheriff’s Office deputy responded to a Two Creek Lane home in Kila for a fight between a man and his aunt, who said her nephew pushed her down on a couch and twisted her wrist. It was later determined the fight started when she called his girlfriend an obscene name and that she slapped him after being pushed down. The two were separated.
A Columbia Falls Stage Road resident reported a dog kept getting into the yard and trampling the garden, and that when the resident threatened to shoot the dog, the dog’s owner threatened to shoot the resident.
A Shelter Ridge woman reported she had been having problems with rabbits in the neighborhood. Seems the pesky critters kept eating all her flowers.
A young teenager was reported by a Conrad Drive resident after the boy stuffed weeds into the resident’s mailbox.
Several wayward cattle and their calves were reported in a Hagerman Lane garden.
A Dogwood Avenue woman reported repeatedly receiving disturbing phone calls.
A concerned resident contacted the Whitefish Police Department after a contractor called the resident and said he was going to “(expletive) you up.”
A Somers Avenue resident called with questions about someone recording another person without that person’s knowledge.
A piece of metal was reported hanging from the roof of a Central Avenue business, posing a threat to passersby.
A Columbia Falls Police Department officer responded to a Martha Road apartment building after it was reported that the door to one of the apartment’s sheds had blown open, revealing several full, smelly garbage bags. Two other apartments were found not to be secured and to have garbage in the back yard.
A concerned passerby reported a pair of geese and six goslings trying to cross the highway by Timber Creek Village, but they apparently made it across unscathed as they were gone by the time an officer responded.
The Whitefish Fire Department helped tow a stranded boater to shore after the boat became disabled in the Carver Bay area of Whitefish Lake Monday afternoon.
