Maxine V. (Flaten) Stordalen LaBere, 95 

The last of a generation came to an end on Friday, Feb. 28, 2014, with the death of Maxine V. LaBere, at the age of 95.

Maxine was born June 16, 1919, the youngest daughter of Christen “CJ” and Agnetta Flaten.

Maxine was preceded in death by her eight siblings, and her dear son, Galen.

She was born and raised in the farm country above Highway 2 between Williston and Tioga, N.D. Maxine moved to Columbia Falls in the ‘60s where she lived a simple life enjoying God’s creation, loving her family and living as God’s child through faith in Jesus.

She is survived by three grandchildren, Shalome Stordalen Frye and Aaron of Indiana, Amber Stordalen of Bozeman, and CJ Stordalen of Kalispell; and numerous great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, March 7, at Columbia Mortuary, located at 1010 Fourth Ave. W., Columbia Falls. Light refreshments will follow at Our Savior Lutheran Church, at 401 Seventh St. W.
