Blasdel for Senate District 4 - for life and liberty

Republican competitors in Senate District 4, Tammi Fisher and Mark Blasdel, have major ideological differences.

Tammi Fisher calls herself a “fiscal conservative” (Flathead Beacon June 5, 2013), yet supports the Obamacare boondoggle and has spent time in Washington, D.C., lobbying for federal dollars (her 2010 Facebook entry). In the March 20, 2013, Daily Inter Lake, she said she supports “the idea” of Medicaid expansion with a rallying cry: “Go get the dollars.”

Her attitude is the veritable opposite of being fiscally conservative.

In contradistinction, as speaker of the House, Mark Blasdel’s leadership was critical in educating Montana House representatives about the need to derail Gov. Bullock’s high-risk Medicaid expansion efforts.

Mark Blasdel is also an unabashed, outspoken defender of the right to life of unborn babies and has a perfect pro-life voting record. In my opinion, Tammi Fisher’s written answers to my inquiries make it clear she is pro-choice/pro-abortion.

Mr. Blasdel has a documented record of promoting the primary human rights of life and liberty so central to the Republican platform… Unlike Ms. Fisher, his words line up with his actions. Under the circumstances, wouldn’t it have been more honorable for Tammi Fisher to run as a Democrat against Mark Blasdel in the November general election rather than playing Republican in the primary?

What motivates a person with views and actions so contrary to the Republican platform to run as a Republican? A vote for Mark Blasdel is a vote for life, liberty and honor.
