Vandalism robs many of their care provider

Since 1977, Susan Cahill has been my health-care provider. She cared for me and my family, helping us with everything from cholesterol, blood pressure and various illnesses to how to deal with my father’s cancer. With patience and compassion she has been our guide to continued health and well-being. As our daughters entered elementary school, they became her patients as well (though she was in practice with Dr. Armstrong at the time), preferring her gentle understanding of “girl stuff.”

I have been so grateful to have had the same doctor for all these years, shepherding me through young motherhood, “middle age,” menopause and now issues of aging.

Our daughters remember her fondly for the same reasons. Our older daughter is almost finished with a registered nursing degree in part because of Susan’s example.

The destruction of All Families Healthcare, Susan’s practice, has been a painful reminder that hatred and intolerance can still trump civil discourse in the Flathead. I am deeply saddened that the actions of one hateful individual could possibly take away my doctor of 37 years.
